Super Xylitol is a natural sweetener of plant origin. Xylitol is a polyol extracted from birch bark and is considered a remarkable substitute for conventional sugar (sucrose) in Nordic countries. Its taste and sweetness are very similar to ordinary sugar. Known as birch sugar, it has a low glycaemic index (GI=7). It can be used by people with diabetes, as it does not cause blood sugar spikes. It has almost 40% fewer calories than sugar. This product from Finland may contain soya, wheat or gluten.
